Transitional Housing Eligibility
Transitional housing provides rental assistance and housing services for low-income, families including elderly, disabled and handicapped households.
While in transitional housing programs, participants receive ongoing assistance with a broad range of needs. For many local citizens, transitional housing bridges the gap between homelessness and self-sufficiency.
Eligibility
- One or two-parent households with dependent children under age 18.
- Applicants must be homeless, low-income and working or attending school
The goal of the program is to assist families in achieving self-sufficiency and to secure permanent affordable housing and family stabilization. While in transitional housing, participants receive ongoing case management. For many, transitional housing bridges the gap between homelessness and self-sufficiency.

Young Adult Transitional House
10 Furnished Units of affordable housing located in downtown Hoquiam. Units are available for Young Adults Aged 18-24 or emancipated youth aged 16 and up. Eligibility is based on current housing status. Dorm style living with an onsite Resident Advisor provides supportive independence. Services include case management, budgeting and financial assistance, and close proximity to Grays Harbor College.
